Welcome to the home page of the Philadelphia Michigan Club. As a club, we place emphasis on helping to recruit the next group of "the leaders and best".  Follow our link at the left to get more infomation on how to apply for our annual scholarships or how to make a donation to our scholarship fund.  Also check out the link for Board Meetings.  Board meetings are your opportunity to meet the leaders of your club and to make any suggestions.


Volunteers Wanted!!
Below is a list of events we have planned for the spring and summer. As with any volunteer orgainzation, we need volunteers to help! If you are interested, please contact the person associated with each event.

 

Chaddsford Winery Tour
Join the U of M Club of Philadelphia on Saturday, August 8, when we will tour the Chaddsford Winery starting with the technical tour followed by a wine tasting of eight different wines. Included are a free glass and a 20 percent discount on purchases.  We’ll meet at 12:30 p.m. and the event should conclude at about 4 p.m. Food is available at the restaurant or bring your own picnic lunch.  You must be 21 to attend this event.

$5 for members, $10 for nonmembers and $10 at the gate for everyone.

Phillies vs. Cubs
The U of M Club of Philadelphia is going to see the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies vs. the Chicago Cubs at Citizen's Bank Park on Tuesday, July 21 at 7:05 p.m.

$20 for members, $30 for nonmembers. A limited number of tickets are available. Unfortunately, the tickets we had are sold out but hope to see you at the next one.

AC Casino Trip

The Philadelphia Club is planning a bus trip to Atlantic City this spring.  Come join your fellow alumni and friends explore the casinos on the Boardwalk or go shopping at the outlet stores near the casinos.  The bus trip will leave in the morning from the suburbs and return in the evening.  The bus will drop us off at a one of the casinos conveniently located near the stores and Boardwalk.  Let us know if you are interested.

Tour A Philadelphia Architectural Gem

The Masonic Temple (Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania) is an architectural marvel of our region.  This would be a guided Saturday morning tour taking advantage of group rates ($4.50 pp).

Lights of Liberty

Join your fellow Wolverines as we experience the American Revolution,as it happened, where it happened – through state-of-the-arttechnology at the Lights of Liberty Show, the first ambulatory soundand light show of its kind in the world.  As we journey throughIndependence National Historical Park, the story is told throughbeautiful hand painted images that are projected up to 50 feet highonto the buildings where the events actually took place over 230 yearsago.  Although fellow alum, James Earl Jones does NOT narrate thetour, the notable voices of Walter Cronkite, Ossie Davis, and CharltonHeston guide us on our tour.

Brandywine Valley Wine Trail

Who needs Napa when we have the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail?  Come join the Michigan Club as we explore the wineries in Pennsylvania along the Brandywine.  We will visit different wineries in the area to get a taste of Pennsylvania.  Come join us for a day of fun and adventure.
